In 1985, the seeds of a thrilling journey were sown when K.K. Thakur, affectionately known as Raju, arrived in the picturesque town of Manali. Driven by an unrelenting passion for motorbikes and the spirit of adventure, he established the region’s first-ever motorbike business. This marked the beginning of a legacy that would inspire countless adventurers to conquer the mountains on two wheels.

Raju led the first-ever motorcycle expeditions to the mystical lands of Leh-Ladakh. At the time, the Manali-Leh highway was no more than a rugged trail through untamed wilderness. These journeys opened up new horizons for explorers, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan grandeur and challenging the limits of human endurance.

Innovation met passion when Raju became the first in Manali to modify a motorbike. This landmark achievement was more than just a technical upgrade—it redefined what was possible in the motorbiking world, setting a new standard for adventure on two wheels.

Carrying forward his father’s legacy, 13-year-old Sonu embarked on his first motorcycle tour to Leh. He became the youngest rider to cross the second-highest mountain pass in the world, a feat that cemented Hardev Motors’ reputation as the ultimate destination for thrill-seekers.

Sonu took the reins of Hardev Motors, transforming it into a family-run enterprise. Under his guidance, the company expanded its horizons, offering guided motorcycle tours to new and exciting destinations across India and Nepal. Soon, the thrill of Hardev Motors will extend to Bhutan and Tibet, promising even more unforgettable journeys.
