Pioneering adventure — the unfolding legacy of motorbiking excellence
Sonu Rajput’s passion for motorbikes began at an early age, shaped by a unique childhood experience. While other children spent their weekends cycling and engaging in age-appropriate activities, Sonu and his younger brother found excitement in a different way. They would rush to their father’s workplace, Hardev Motors, where their father, Mr. Raju, owned a collection of 80 motorbikes. There, amidst the rows of gleaming motorcycles, the brothers would push a Yamaha RX100 to the top of a hill and race down the slope, alternating their turns. This thrill-seeking pastime became their favorite hobby, fueling a fascination with the mechanics and adrenaline of motorbikes.
The workshop years
By the age of 8, Sonu was already immersed in the world of motorcycles, learning the ropes from his father’s workshop. What started as a childhood thrill on a Yamaha RX100 soon blossomed into a deep connection to the world of motorcycles. While most kids spent their time with toys, Sonu and his brother turned their weekends into an adventure—racing down hills, sometimes without even starting the engine.

From working alongside his father in the workshop to mastering the art of riding, Sonu’s journey was shaped by dedication and a thirst for knowledge. His love for Royal Enfield motorbikes deepened over time, sparking his first bike restoration and leading to countless motorcycle tours, including the challenging terrain of Leh-Ladakh at just thirteen.
Today, Hardev Motors is a hub for adventure, offering thrilling motorcycle tours across India on Royal Enfield bikes. With decades of experience, Sonu and his team continue to push the limits, creating unforgettable experiences for riders and travelers alike.
